Beaumonde Heights Junior Middle School

Our school motto is Rising to Excellence.

Beaumonde Heights Junior Middle School is located in a residential community in the North-West quadrant of the city. The school opened in 1959 as a Kindergarten to Grade 8 school. From 1970 until 1984, the school operated from Kindergarten to Grade 5. After 1984 it reverted to a full elementary program.  The school draws from a very rich and diverse community.   There are many different languages spoken by members of the Beaumonde Heights community.

We have an enrolment of approximately 500 students.

We believe that all of our students have the ability to learn given time and support.  Our supports of our students include Literacy Support for our Primary students, English Language Learner support for all of our students, and Resource support for students that require extra support.

We also have the International Languages program for students in our immediate community wishing to learn  Spanish, Tamil, Somali and Gujarati.

We also embed understanding of Indigenous Education and culturally relevant and responsive teaching into our daily teaching and learning.
